08/10/2010 - Carson, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Chivas USA forward Maykel Galindo was loaned to FC Tampa Bay of the USSF Division 2 Professional League, the second tier of American soccer, on Tuesday.
Since joining Chivas USA in 2007 from then-USL side Seattle Sounders, Galindo has played in 67 matches, including 48 starts, with 18 goals and nine assists. He scored 12 goals in 28 matches, including 24 starts, in 2007, but has had three up-and-down seasons since.
The Cuban striker has played six games, including four starts, for Chivas USA in 2010, scoring one goal.
"This move allows Maykel to get first team matches as he works toward regaining his form," said Chivas coach Martin Vasquez. "The opportunity exists for him to return to our team this season or next."
Chivas hosts Seattle Sounders FC in its next MLS match Saturday.

With Johnson's status doubtful, Gonzalez said right-hander Ricky Nolasco will stay in the rotation and no longer will be considered a candidate for closer.
