01/15/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Boston Celtics try and halt a four-game losing streak today when they visit the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
Boston, which is four games off the lead in the Atlantic Division, dropped its fourth straight with Saturday's 81-73 setback against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Gerald Green had a career-high 24 points for the Celtics, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games. Ryan Gomes added 17 points and Al Jefferson chipped in 12 with a career-high 22 boards in a losing effort.
The Celtics will close out a brief two-game trek this afternoon and are 8-11 on the road this season.
Atlanta, meanwhile, ended a two-game losing streak with Friday's 99-93 win over the Detroit Pistons at Philips Arena.
Joe Johnson scored 34 points for the Hawks, who are 1-1 on a three-game homestand and 6-10 as the host this season. Josh Childress netted 18 points and Marvin Williams and Shelden Williams added 12 apiece.
Atlanta's Speedy Claxton suffered a sore left knee and Zaza Pachulia sprained his left ankle in the second quarter of Wednesday's 96-77 loss to the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets and both missed Friday's game.
Pachulia is probable, while Claxton is questionable for Monday's game. Atlanta is currently last in the Southeast Division.
Monday's matinee between Boston and Atlanta is the first meeting of the season. The Celtics have won three of five and five of the last eight meetings.
Boston has won two of its last three trips to Philips Arena.
